Tour De Cure 2012

Save the date: June 3, 2012 to Take the Ride of Your Life! June 3, 2012, the American Diabetes Association will host their signature fundraising event TOUR de CURE starting in Springfield, Nebraska. There's something for everyone - a leisurely 10 mile ride to more challenging 20 and 50 mile rides.  It will be a day you will never forget! All bike routes are safe and fully supported with route marshals, SAG vehicles, mechanical support, and rest stops.  At the finish, you will find great food, music, a ‘recovery’ center, and more.  Now is the time to start a chain reaction.  Register a team or yourself, but register today.  Go to www.diabetes.org/tournebraska.  If you have any questions, please contact Amy Bellows, tour manager, abellows@diabetes.org.

Cyclocross Practice 2010

Every Tuesday Starting August 10^th

6:30 – 8:30ish

Walnut Grove Park

You can ride from the shop if you would like, but there is plenty of parking at the park.

We will have different courses every week with natural and artificial barriers.

This is free to anyone that wants to try. So bring your bike, helmet, and courage, and enjoy the crazy sport of cyclocross.

Specialized Women’s Demo Tour

Come join us for an evening of bikes, drinks, and food as you look over bikes designed specifically for you.

Specialized women's representative Rita Borelli will be on hand with bikes, to answer any and all questions that you may have.

We hope to see you all there.

Race Team Meeting

February 27th, at 3:30 pm. 

We will have our first Team meeting of the year.  It should be relatively short, with introductions (we got new peeps to introduce) and some business to attend to, and then hopefully all of you can stick around for Goldsprints.

If anyone is interested in joining the team let us know.

OMAHA SPRINTS!

For those of you who can't make it down to Lincoln this weekend for the KC Sprints, fear not!  You will not have to travel far to partake in some sprinting action.

The Bike Way will be hosting it's version of roller races using the CompuTrainer 3D program, February 27th, registration @ 5pm, Go @ 6:00 pm.

The Low-down:

-Random pairings

-Best two out of three races - one minute rest between

-Double Elimination

-Will have Women's category

-Prizes for top finishers

-BYOB

-Spectators welcome

And best of all this event is FREE.  We will have to limit the field at some point so please call in and/or show up early to get registered.  So come on out and lay your claim to braggin' rights in Omaha.

We will also have an informal after party at the Liar's Club near by.
