STOLEN BICYCLE ALERT!!!!!! 2009 Kona Dew Deluxe with Easton Monkey SL handlebars, Specialized Crossroads Armadilllo tires, and Specialized Avatar saddle was stolen from the Westroads where it was locked up.

One of our customers and Omaha cyclist had his bike stolen
today at Westroads. If anyone has any information please contact the shop (402)392-2390 or the police.

Cross racing in Norfolk

October 23rd will kick off the next series of cyclocross races in the Greater Omaha area.  Check out the LINK to Nebraska Cycling News story.

It is getting colder, here is our winter clothing guide.

Temperature ranges for are just a guideline. Your body and your type of riding will change what you wear. Remember that it is always easier to take off too many clothes, than wish you had brought more with you.

40-50 degrees - Cycling shorts with thermal tights/leg warmers, long sleeve jersey, long sleeve baselayer, thermal wind jacket, winter cap, winter gloves, wool socks, and maybe booties or overshoes.

*Long sleeve jersey not needed if you are wearing a thermal jacket.

30-40 degrees - Cycling shorts with thermal tights, long sleeve jersey, thermal jacket, wool cap, winter gloves, wool socks and booties. At this temperature we also recommend winter cycling shoes such as the Specialized Defroster.

20-30 degrees - Cycling shorts with thermal bib tights, long sleeve jersey with long sleeve baselayer, thermal jacket with wool cap/balaclava, wool socks, winter gloves and booties. At this temperature we also recommend winter cycling shoes such as the Specialized Defroster.

NEW course for Cyclocross practice!!

Marked a new cross course at Walnut Grove this morning. It is Awesome! 1.68 Miles long, more technical, faster paced, and possibly more vertical climbing than before. Train harder, race easier.
Hope to see everyone out there on Tuesday ready to roll at 6pm with a few warm up laps.

Tueday Night Cross Practice

We will be heading to Tranquility for cross practice this week. After the awesome weekend of racing it would be a good break and will help develop handling skills.

Trust me it works. :-)

Meet at the Fort Street trail head ready to roll out at 6pm. Bring a light if you want to get in more that two laps, sunset is supposed to be around 7pm.
